My work aims to help people to come home to themselves, to reclaim their bodies, stories and their creative expression. Through tattoo, photography, sound, nature immersion or creative expression, together we create space to explore the stories that we carry and choose to live our lives through.
Our rites of passage and our connection with nature have been taken from us by the colonialist, capitalist system that we live within. It is my hope that through my work I can create ways to help myself and my clients unpick the elements of these systems that live inside us. To remember our connection to the web of life outside of these systems and to reconnect to our bodies and the land.
My name is Niamh Aisling, I’m glad you found your way to this little corner of the internet. I practice art of many kinds with a strong focus on intentional tattooing as a pathway to connection and healing. Committing to my creativity as a way of life over and over again has been the most important work for me and I feel passionate about helping others connect to their creative spirit.
I am fascinated by human stories, and divine connection to nature. This fascination has lead me down many winding paths of exploration and all of these learnings have been weaved together to create the Scribe Tattoo process. I have 12 years of photography experience, 7 years professional practice in Tattooing, and I am a qualified BAST accredited sound therapist.
Along the way I have worked with facilitating women’s circles, created large art installations at festival, published a zine, gone on photography expeditions, created costumes, organised events, built theatre sets and worked on film & tv sets for many years after finishing a BA in Design for Stage & Screen. My path here has been anything but linear, but the more I weave the threads of my creative endeavours together, the more it becomes clear what each step brought me.
I have a deep reverence for nature and our beautiful planet and I am on an ever evolving mission to learn how to live in reciprocity with nature and community. I love to find ways to operate outside of the capitalist machine we find ourselves in.

I am a hand poke tattoo artist, all of my tattoos are made dot by dot with a needle and my hand, it is a slow and gentle process. I work through Scribe Sessions, Partner Scribe Sessions, Wild Scribe Sessions, Custom Designs, Pre- Drawn Designs, Group & Private Events.
I am based in France but I travel to Éire & The UK to tattoo and hold workshops and retreats regularly. Feel free to get in touch to talk about a project or to find out about my available dates and times for the next few months.
